What Home Means To Me

To me, a home and a house are two very different things. A home is a safe space where you are respected and can be yourself. A home doesn’t have to be a structure, a home is where you feel the most comfortable. A house is a structure that you live in. A house’s job is to protect you from snow, rain and thunderstorms. Of course, having a house could make you happy, and it’s very important to have a house. But main happiness comes from a person, place or fandom that they can call ‘home’. That when they’re sad they can go to. I personally prefer a home over a house, I’m very thankful for my house but then again the main thing that makes me happy is a home. If I had to pick my ‘home’, it would be my friends Kyra and Sierra. Everyone might not have a house, but everyone can have a home.
