The Meaning of Home
Home is a place to rest, to spend time in, and to feel safe in. Your home should be safe, loving, and peaceful. It doesn’t matter where you are from, where you are, or where you want to be. Home has good times, but it can also have sadness at times. Sometimes sadness is a good thing. It helps you be thankful for the things you have. Home might not contain items, but it contains feelings, from happiness to anger.
Home is not a building; it is where you feel welcome. It could be a school, your house, or even outside. Home is where you belong, such as a kid choosing their next school. You decide what you do or where you go. When you’re an adult, you pick your job, you pick your house, and all you need to do is work hard to get there. At your home, you make the decisions. At other people’s homes, they make the decisions.
Home has what you love. The feelings make up the choices. Depending on how you feel, you might pick something when your sad that you would not do if you were happy.
Home has love, happiness, sadness, and many more feelings. That is because home is where you are. Feelings come from you. Wherever you choose to be, that is where your home is. You choose where you end up. And that is where is.
