Home
Home is a very special place because everyone's home is different in some way. Yes, you may have the same amount of family members as your friend, But that's not super important. No matter what, your home is special to you. Home to me is trust, feelings, connections, and safety. A house to me is safety and a warm place to live. A safe home is different from a safe house. A safe house is locks, gates and fences. A safe home, though, is trusting people to come into your home and get along. If someone wants to join you having fun with your family, you have to trust that they won't make you fight or not enjoy yourself along with your family. Say your sister's friend came over while you were playing a board game. Your sister lets them join in, but they don't follow the rules of how your family plays that game. Imagine if they went,
“ We should play the game my way because it's better.”
Wouldn't that just not be fun at all? That's the importance of making sure you have a safe home. Making sure you don't let other people barge into your family's traditions. Houses are also a place to have fun like playing board games or making supper with your mom. Your house is somewhere you make comfortable in your own way. That's how houses and homes are different, but both are important. I wish everyone could have a home and a house.
