This is Home
Homes are like spirits that surround houses. Home is what makes you comfortable and safe in your surroundings. They make houses less dull and to your liking.
Home is comfortable because they allow you to be you. This is told in a voice only you understand. Everyone hears this voice differently, but they still have the same meaning. Home will make sure the people you care for are your Home too. When you walk through the door of a house, and no one else is there, it is Home that greets you, though if someone is there, Home will still greet you along with that someone.
A Home makes you safe in your surroundings by telling a house to keep a good guard. Home is stern to this house, for they care about you even if you don’t yet care for them. Very few times will the house let their guard down, but most are lucky to have that never happen in our lifetime.
Home makes you like a house no matter what. When you are moving to a new house, and you don’t want to move, Home will say ‘so long!’ to your old house and come with you to the new one. Then Home will surround this new house, like giving it a big hug, and make it your new Home.
Every time your address changes, every time you live somewhere new. Home will follow. And like a newborn baby, home becomes anew. That is why you may feel queasy or disturbed in a new house, though Home will grow– not in size, but in knowledge. And go through the steps I’ve written; the ones to make you comfortable and safe, learning along the entire way, the ways to make you at Home.
This is Home to me.
