Home is a place for family. Home is a place for friends. Home is a place for pets. Home to me is my pet rat Pippin. He is a member of the family. When I get home, I usually go straight to see Pippin. He perks up when he sees me. He is a fellow extrovert. He is very friendly just like me. My rat is very trusting. He lets me lay him on his back and scratch his belly. It is so cute; he shakes his head and frolics. It makes me feel content when I am at home with my little comrade. My companion is funny. He is entertaining when he eats. He can squat on his haunches and nibble on the item like a person holding a sandwich. I watch him perform his antics for hours; it is a great form of entertainment and very intriguing. Pippin is an unlikely pet but is so friendly and nice. When I play with him it is interactive. I can watch TV and he crawls up into my hood and sleeps. He feels safe there because we have four cats, so I protect him. It is a symbiotic relationship. I protect and he gives me solace. I feel comfortable and so does he. Pippin makes a home a place to look forward to.
