What home means to me

Home is where I can be myself. Home is where I learn from the bookshelf. Home is where I eat and drink. Home is the place where I can rethink. Home is where all the memories are pictured, Even when you get injured. When we see memories we take pictures to remember them more, Sometimes we take three to four. Home is where I get real cozy, After the movies I get really dozy. At home there is a roof over my head, So I can dream while I’m in bed. Home is where I pack my lunch, That is made with love a bunch. While I’m there my heart grows, From taking the path that I have chose. My home keeps me safe from the storm, And keeps me nice and warm. At home I feel loved. Even if my siblings shoved. At home I grow and I get stronger. Being a parent I can’t wait any longer. At home I make my choses wise. And overwhelming moments call for joy cries. Four walls around and plenty more. I wonder what this home was before. Writing poems about what home means to me. We all need one home too I think we can all agree. My home comes with a yard just for me. And when I leave the wind blows the tree goodbye with glee. Home is a place I can’t ever leave. And where I set my goals to achieve.
