Love and Dreams

Home isn’t just a roof and four walls. Home is where your family is. Home can be as tiny as can be. Home can be trees that flow in the wind. Home can be a tent on a sandy beach. Home can be grass or seeds. It’s love that we all need. Home isn’t about all the fancy pictures. It's about the memories that we cherish together. I wonder what my home used to be or what it will become. I know that home isn’t just a place, it's a feeling. My house can be a crazy circus or a peaceful garden, but that's what makes it home! The ones who greet me at the door are the ones that make a house a home. The hugs and laughter never get old. In the summer we’ll canoe away to a rocky beach, set up a tent and run away. The sun will swallow us and shine, then throw us back to the place we belong. When the doorbell rings with coffee roasting, dogs barking and laughter erupting, parents running with lizards crawling, sisters calling. That's my home even though it's crazy. I don’t think I could live without it. No matter where life takes me, I’ll make my own house a home for the ones I love. My house might change, but the ones I love will never change. A house is made with walls and bricks, but my home is built with love and dreams. I know someday life will take me different places, but I’ll jump back to that special place where I belong. Everyone deserves a house that they can make a home. Our lives are so short so take a moment to explore what home really means. Send it away on a computer, then ten dollars will flow to the ones who don’t have a home. I’m not doing this for me but for them. The ones who don’t have a house will now have a home.
