Home, Home, Home
This is for all the people who can't afford a home.
Some people consider a home to be some bricks and beams. But to me that is a house. A house is very different from a home. A house is just a thing or a place where you can live. It is something built by materials. It is just a tangible object. But a home, don’t get me started, a home is something built on love, trust, kindness, dreams and memories. It is a place where you feel happy and safe. Everyone deserves a place to call a home, even your worst enemy. My home can get crowded sometimes. I have 6 people living in my home: my sister and step sister, mom, step dad, brother and me. I also have four pets: my hamster, my crazy cat, an old grumpy cat and a large dog. I love everyone in my home very much.
There are so many people who don’t have a safe and happy home. It can be from leaky pipes to an abusive home. Many people don’t have a place to call home or even a house. There are many people who are homeless. My family and I always try to help. Especially donating old clothes. It is always worth it just to see the smile on their face.
Everyone deserves a home. Just because you can afford one doesn’t mean people who can’t shouldn’t have one. Many people can’t afford a home but still deserve one. Homeless people are shamed all the time and I think it is time to stop that. We shouldn’t be judging people by the way they look and the clothes they wear.
I am so thankful that I can share what home means to me.
