What is the Meaning of Home?
Lots of people think a house is just a building or a place where you live, well Home is more than that! Home is a place where you run around and share love. Home is more like a feeling. Home is a place where there are green plants standing tall and small, fingerprints shining through the window, colourful lights, joy, warm cozy fireplace, fluffy blankets, Home should be filled with those things and maybe even other things like that.
I live in a brick house and it doesn't look all happy on the outside but on the inside it does look happy and full of love for people like my parents and my little brother and of course my loving dog Charlie. My home is filled with colour, drawings filling the empty spaces on the fridge.
Home is a place to feel safe, share secrets, laugh and play. Home can mean a whole other bunch of things to you. Home to me feels like a safe place, a place to be secure, a place to be happy and share your feelings.
Everyone out there deserves a home if you can’t afford one, don’t have a job to get money, you still deserve a home. This is the reason why I wrote this essay to show everyone out there that a house is not a building and that lots of people need a home.
“A house is made with walls and beams but a home is built with love and dreams” by: Ralph Waldo Emerson
