The Meaning of Home
The meaning of home to me is very important.
It is important because I know how fortunate I am to have a safe, warm, nice house. When I moved here, I had a house not a home.
A house is a place that has people in it. Not really a place you can be yourself. A house has a roof, walls, floors, and a door, but it isn't a place where you can be yourself, and you don’t have to worry about having to wear your socks. A house is where things or people you love aren’t there.
A home is a place where you can always be yourself and not worry about wearing sweatpants. A home is where you can watch a movie ten times, a place where you always feel like you belong and never feel judged or an outcast. A home is my favorite place to be when I come home from school. If I'm ever sad about something my family is always there, my family is what makes my home a home. My family makes me feel loved and makes my house feel cozy.
I feel for people who don’t have a safe place to live in because I know some people don’t have all the things we have or the privilege I have, like being able to come home and do homework.
In conclusion, what Habitat for Humanity does is very important, and I hope we can help people who don’t have easy access to homes.
