The Meaning of Home
A lot of people think that what they have is never enough. They have the newest iPhone, the next one comes out, and they’re like: “I’m gonna buy this one. It’s way better!”. It is the same with homes: not many people realise how important it is to have a home. For example: people have a simple apartment that has everything one needs: a bed, food and water, a kitchen and a bathroom. They even have lots of friends and love the neighborhood. And then they suddenly get a lot of money from their job, and all they care about is having a big mansion. They think that a home is a luxury mansion with a basketball court, a five-star hotel, a luxury spa, a tennis court, a pool and way more. But that is the exact opposite of the true meaning.
A home is all about the emotions. It is about loved ones, friends, and all the memories you share with them and others. A home is a feeling. A feeling of belonging. It doesn’t have to be a building. It can be a town, a city or a country.
Your home is a place where you are safe. A place you are comfortable in. A place you grow mentally and physically. A home is a place you can always return and escape to.
If there is one thing I can tell you, it is that whenever you go somewhere, and wherever it is, deep down inside, your home is always with you.
