Home

Home to me is a place where you feel safe. For me a home is where my family is and where I feel safe with good memories. It can be sad memories, like the time when I no longer could stay at home and had to go to school. However, one time I got to stay home and bake cookies and that was fun, even though it was 3 years ago. No matter whether you are feeling sad or happy, you feel safe. Home can be in more than one place, like if you were born in one place but don't live there anymore, that can still be your home as well as where you live now. Although it doesn’t have to be. I was born in a house that got destroyed and torn down. I don’t really remember any of it so it would not be home to me anymore. I have lived in 6 different houses over my lifetime. Even now, I live at 2 houses (my moms and my dads) and they are both home. Also I was born in Kelowna, and have lived here my whole life, but many haven’t. Kelowna and their previous city or country could still both be home. A home can be more than a house; it can be a park, a city or even a country.
