What Home Means to Me
Home is a word people should not be fighting for. Home is for everyone, not just that guy at the mailbox, not just the girl walking. I am thankful I have a home. 1 in 8 Canadian households does not have a home. It does not seem like a lot but that’s more than 150 thousand and that’s not ok.
A home has joy. I hope anyone and everyone gets to have home. Yes there’s furniture and food in your home but there’s more. You can hang out with your friends, you can hang out with your loved ones. Home means a good place that is safe. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that helps you afford a house.
A home and a house are different. Home means a safe place. A house is just a building.
A home is a safe place you can call anything home. A house is a place where you go to live. A home is a place where you go to love. A home is a place your loved ones are. A home is a happy place. House means a building you live in.
A home has hope, faith, love, happiness, peace and people you love like a sister or brother, parents or even a pet. I think everyone deserves a home. I thank Habitat for Humanity for letting me write. I will not be sad if I don’t win. I win anyway because I get to give Habitat for Humanity 10 dollars which makes me more than happy.
