The Meaning of Home
A true home is one with love and family. My home is a safe place. My home is watching and playing hockey.
My home is filled with love and family. Family and love are all tangled up in my home. Whether it’s my sister racing up the stairs, family movie night, outside skating with my family or friends, playing outside with my dad followed by all of us having a nice cup of hot chocolate; all of our love is in our home together. I love having a family that I can help, trust, rely on. I couldn’t do any of that if we didn’t all love each other in the same home.
A true home is being safe. In my home, I’m really safe from anything that could hurt me or my family, like having a roof over my head and walls surrounding me. I will be sad if anything hurts or harms my family in any way. I don’t think that will happen because it is really safe in my favourite home.
My home is watching and playing hockey. I watch hockey sitting on my super comfy sofa and watching TV with my dad. Every time I watch hockey it just feels like I’m relaxed and not angry. Playing hockey is what I want to enjoy, so every time I come back home I just feel that I’m free and calm. I could not play hockey without my home. Where would I put my hockey stick, my hockey bag and where would I wash my gear?
My home has family and love, my home is safe and my home is watching and playing hockey. All those three things are needed for me to live the best life possible.
