A home is for everyone

A home is where your heart lays, a house is where your furniture stays. I like my windows, they are so bright. Like a flashlight in a dark site. My piano’s grand, a Yamaha brand almost as tall as me when I stand. Around my home is many yards of land. A home is where your love lays, a house is where a couple windows and a door stays. Only four letters and one syllable long, home is where we all belong. Home is where you play games like ping pong. For comfort and freeing, play and reading. I love this place because I am never alone, being sad forever is truly unknown. A home is where there are pictures in frames, a house is just a building. No matter how old, no matter how young, a home is for everyone. No matter your style, no matter your taste, no matter your favorite kind of toothpaste, a home is for everyone. No matter your skin colour, no matter your hair colour, no matter your gender or how intact was your fender, a home is for everyone! Your home may be old or new, but that doesn’t diminish the meaning to you. Large or small, you can still have the same fun playing kick-ball. Country or city, you can still have fun in a gitty. By these words I mean, by these words you have seen, that even in different circumstances, you can still have a home. It could be triangular, it could be a dome. But nevertheless, it’s a home. A home on a river or a lake, a home with someone who likes to bake cake, a home with a special person who soothes your quake, someone to meet you when you wake. Now, tonight when you sit by your fire, think of anything that you want, except the thoughts that are dire. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for letting me participate in this contest!
