When I Hear the word “ Home”

When I was young I thought that my home was just a place where I do things I do in my daily life. Now I know that my home is a special place where you meet your family, stay in a shelter and have memories that last for a long time. My home is a special place to do stuff with my family. My family gives me gifts on my birthday and the gifts mean a lot because the person that gave it to me chose it with their heart. My family is part of me and my life and that makes a family a family. They try to help fix the problems I have and even if it does not work, I am still grateful since they are trying. My family is part of my special home and they mean a lot. Shelter is really important for a home. If I didn’t have a roof on my head I wouldn’t be able to survive and wouldn’t be able to be in this world. The door of my home lets me stay safe so no Intruders come in. The shelter brings my family all together by keeping it together. Shelter is important to me so my family is together and my home is part of it. When I have a home there are always memories. Every Christmas I open my presents and I think about the present and why the person that gave it to me gave the present to me. On my fourth birthday I got this toy I really wanted and I got it so that is how I know that my family truly loves me and pays attention to the small important details. Memories are the first thing I would think of when I hear home. Now I know that a home is a place where I do stuff with my family, memories that last for a long time and stay in shelter to stay safe. My home is not a house, it is where there is stuff that is important.
