My home not house

Home’s a place where I feel comforted and loved. I feel free to be my weird and authentic self. Home is where I made my first batch of blueberry muffins while sitting on the counter, now I actually stand and make them myself. I love growing up in this home and building more confidence. I even remember I used to not know how to spell the word house I couldn't remember. I would look in books, stores, on signs on everything to find out how to write it, but now I don't need to know, a house is a place with four walls. But home, home is the word that has a meaning that is different, unique to everyone and everything. It's special!!!!!!! Home is where I first learned to crawl, walk, run, and have fun! The smells of the best yummy food and comforting hugs and kisses. The traditional Friday movie nights, sinking into the cozy couch with the soft snuggly blankets. Painting with my family and being happy. Jumping In the pool with my brother as we play while the best mom brings snacks to the side of the pool. After my Dad makes us a warm fire while we get our onesies & teddy bears. On the trampoline we jump up and down. Playing with my floppy puppy chasing her through the yard. To some, home is just a place, to some it's a powerful, strong, and meaningful place of courage, thought and hope. Even if your home isn't wowing on the outside it's always perfect on the inside with all the awesome memories that last forever! Not everyone has a home and that needs to change.
