Home: Not a Place, a Feeling

Home is not a place, it is a feeling It is something small but also has a big meaning. In fact, a home doesn’t have to be big at all. But it is still where you feel like you belong. Home is an emotion, Even though there might sometimes be a lot of commotion. My home is where I feel warm and loved; It is where I can be myself without feeling judged. When I think of home, I never feel alone; It is where you feel safe, which is what matters the most. Home is not a house and a house is not a home; Home is a feeling and house is just a brick building. Home is where all your family is with you; Parents, friends, and even pets too! Home is where I play, home is where I sleep, And the meaning of it is very deep. No matter how big, no matter how small, home is where you do it all. But a home might not always be filled with happiness; It may sometimes even have a lot of arguments. Although, we are still very fortunate to have homes; Because some of us don’t. No one should have to stay in the cold, Or live in houses covered with mold. Let’s spread kindness and generosity; And not spread meanness or ferocity. Despite all our differences, we can all still make deliverances; Everyone deserves a home, no matter how young or old. Because home is something even more precious than gold. I hope this poem will inspire us all; So let’s stand tall and work together to build more walls!
