What Home Means to Me
What does home mean to me? Home to me is being able to walk into a house and it feels like home. Having food on the table and having water to drink and especially having a roof over their heads. Some people don’t have food to eat or water to drink and especially a roof over their heads. That can be challenging for a lot of people being out in the cold for several years or months having nothing at all. No house, no food, no water, no bed, no money. Nothing.
I wonder what it is like having to sleep in the cold or on a hot day wearing the same clothes. Just to sit there and think what it might be like to have no Christmas, no Thanksgiving, no Easter, or no Halloween. Especially for the kids and the parents it must be so hard just to wake up and knowing on Christmas day that you didn't get anything. It must be so sad for the parents to see the kids and be able to tell the look in their eyes. It would probably make them cry a little just to see their kids so sad. To all the people that are on the streets that have to sit in the cold and hot days, I have a message for all of you. My message is life will get better. It may not be good right now but trust me, life will get better. Just keep believing in yourself and it will get better because there are good things in life and there are bad things in life, so keep being strong and that is my message.
