Marco Maloney's Home

Birds live in nests, bears live in caves, foxes live in dens, and people live in homes. It does not matter what you are, everyone just wants a place where they feel safe. I know my home is a place where I feel safe. One reason why I feel safe is because my parents always keep me safe by locking the doors and turning on the alarm at night. That way when I get in to my bed I have no worries. My home is also the place where I like to play. I mostly like to play outdoors with my friends for the fresh air and exercise. However, when the weather is bad, I play indoors with my toys, video games, and board games with my family. My home is also my safe zone because I always know that it is where I can go to get food when I am hungry, a band aid when I get hurt, or take a bath when I'm cold and dirty. As you can see, my home gives me lots of comfort and security. A house is a building, but a home is where you feel safe. That is all every creature is hoping for, whether it's the bird in the nest, the bear in the cave, the fox in the den, or me in my home.
