I Am Lucky To Have a Home

Blocks the cold and is warm I wake up in bed with a love swarm I eat breakfast then get out When I get to school see my friends and shout I may be at school but l have many homes you know Like my house that I was talking about so that I don’t get cold in the snow. Then there is my community and then my school and more Then there's the city, province , country, planet and universe, and even my bedroom door. My home is a place where I can rest So when I wake up I am the best I can eat when I am hungry all the work that l have to do is go to the fridge When I’m running I have clean water from my house, and not from the river with the rusty bridge I’m grateful for my community, school and house I’m grateful that my house is not a tent and I’m not living with a mouse It may be wonderful and warm But I’m Writing this poem so that other people are warm and they can conform So that kids can say that they are happy not sad I really hope I can help somebody I really hope that bad I want to make a difference I will try my best with this poem I want to make a difference by giving somebody a home Maybe the next person that got a home Just maybe, just maybe they will be writing a poem about their new home
