My Meaning Home
There are different meanings of home. For me, home is the people with whom I live with. Where my family has big moments and memories. A place where I keep my stuff that makes me feel comfortable. Even though everyone might not have the same meaning of home, these are the things that I have in my home.
My family is always with me, that’s why they’re part of my home. Some moments with my family, like on Friday night we usually stay up late and watch movies till late at night and those memories with my family make me feel good inside. Other times, we drive around randomly in our car or move our mattresses in the living room and sleep there. Even how open I can be around them. These little memories and moments make me feel safe and define my home.
Home for me is also where I have had life-changing experiences, moments, and memories. Some of those moments are when I’ve failed at something, but I keep trying and I have achieved some of my goals. It can also be when one of my siblings was born like my younger brother. The special memories I have don’t have to be big. Things that I consider for me are as simple as having a family dinner or watching a movie. I love my memories and they are part of what makes everyone’s home unique to them, which is why I keep all my memories with me.
Everyone loves their stuff, the stuff you live with, things you’ve had memories with, those are part of my home in a different way than memories or family. When I have come home from travelling, or maybe from a long car trip, it could even be when I’m tired, when I feel like the only thing I would want to do is go in my bed or sit on the sofa. I have always lived in a building and seen the beautiful views, so when I take a deep breath and look outside it gives me a good vibe. Things are just stuff that will break, but the feeling I get sitting on them or using them is a part of my home.
Home doesn't just have one meaning, for many different people there are different meanings. My meaning of home is having the people you love with you. Thinking of the memories, moments, and events you had. Plus, the familiar things you live with. Those are the three things that I consider my home. Everyone should have a home, and everyone will have a different meaning for it, and that’s a good thing.
