Home
Home is a place where I feel safe.
Home is a place for every race.
In my blanket I feel cozy.
The soft purr of my cats makes me feel dozy.
Home is a place where I can grow.
It’s where I like to play in the snow.
My dad has a garden inside and out.
It’s part of a home, without a doubt.
Big or small, the size does not matter.
I feel lucky to hear the squirrels’ chatter.
It’s a place where my sister and I run and play.
Those are some of my favourite days.
It is a place where we gather, young and old.
I would not trade this for all the gold.
All together, we play games.
If we win or lose, it’s all the same.
No matter the gender, the colour, the faith.
A family needs to have their place.
To put down roots of their own,
All of humanity deserves a home.
