Home

A house is just 4 walls and a roof but a house can become your home. Home is where you make memories with friends and family. It’s where you learn to get up when you fall. It’s where you took your first steps, you lose your first tooth, you celebrate your first birthday and you celebrate your first Christmas. My home is not just made of bricks, siding and drywall, it is made of those memories where you get hurt, sad and also those memories where you feel happy and glad. Home is where I feel comfortable to be myself and feel safe. It’s the place I miss when I go to visit my family in Australia. My home is a place I play video games on the couch while I get over my jet lag. It is the place I measure my height on the wall every birthday to see how much I've grown. When I was three, my dad came home from a trip with friends and I was so excited to see him that I ran into a wall and there's dint there that looks like my ear. It still remains there as a memory. My dad taught me to kick my first soccer ball in our huge backyard. I have learned to make many meals and desserts in the kitchen with my mum and I LOVE to bake and cook. Home is wherever my family is. Home is truly where the heart is!
