Meaning of Home

Here I am in my kitchen. I can see my breakfast being made. I can hear the sizzling sound of the bacon. I can smell the sweet cinnamon buns. I can taste my delicious pancakes, and I can feel the warmth of my home. I am very lucky to have a home. Everybody needs a home. We all need a home because we all need a warm, happy, cozy place to sleep. We need a place where we feel safe, and can eat in a happy environment. A home is not just a building made out of bricks, nails and wood. Well sure it has those things, but it’s more than that. You have family there and memories. You have things that make you happy and things that make you sad. But that is all a part of a home. You have good and bad memories. Homes are important no matter what happens in them. In my home everyone gets along and is nice to each other. We watch movies and shows together and we eat and clean up together. My home is amazing. The best thing about it is the thing that surrounds it, my family. My home holds everything that I love, care about and need. I have food, water, a bed, and many more things that I enjoy. Those things are all in my home. Do you know the difference between a house and a home? Some people think that they are the same thing. But I don’t. You see a house is just some wood, bricks and something else. But a home is much different. It’s a place where you celebrate special holidays like Christmas or Easter. It is where you have family parties and where you just want to relax. Homes are important.
