My Forever Home
I don’t live in a typical house or at an ordinary place. I live behind the strong shield in a battle, in a mask during a pandemic, and even behind a parent when embarrassed. This marvellous shelter is called home, my protected, caring, and nurturing environment.
In my home I’m able to be honest and knowing that I have trust makes everything better. I can keep calm and relaxed with only positive thoughts because I’m secure. There’s respect when I do wrong and forgiveness always follows. I can understand the meaning of a true sentiment from a fake one.
I’m grateful I live here with doors wide open to grow. Having a sibling to play with I’m overjoyed to know I receive the gift of family time.
Home is a safe place to stay. The fresh, clean house I get to come to everyday. A quiet place to learn and a healthy body. I’m accepted for who I am.
The key is the love this home possesses, comforted by warm hugs and cheered up by bright smiles. I can take pride and stand tall, inspired to one day have a home like this of my own.
Strolling through my mind’s gallery the fun, laughing, crazy, exciting memories I’ve had here will always last. The history will stay.
My home is a welcomed joy where I can find myself. A place to live forever, no matter where I’ll be and no matter how hard it gets.
