My Home

My home is safe. My home is shelter when it snows or rains or storms. My home smells like bread baking and laundry soap and wood stove. My house sounds like children playing and dogs barking and my older brother laughing. My home feels like love and family and belonging and learning and growing. Christmas mornings and pancakes on Sunday and doing Math with my Dad. My home is warm and full of joy and where everything begins and ends and feels like magic.
