Home Is My Sanctuary
They ask me, “What is the meaning of home?”
And I answer;
“Home is not just about shelter,
a place to sleep in,
But the memories you build in there.
Like your first steps,
First time sleeping alone,
And all the people you created them with.
Like Playing board games with them,
Playing sports,
Or just doing regular things together.
Whether it's your parents, siblings, uncles and aunts,
cousins, or grandparents,
It's all memories.
Some good, some bad.
Some happy, and some sad.
But they are something you won’t forget.
Because sometimes, the people won't always be there for you.
So enjoy the moment while it lasts.”
“Wow.” They exclaimed.
“What a great explanation.
Thank you!
Now I know what home truly means.”
So, remember, always treat your home,
and people in it with respect.
Sometimes, you won't always like them, and wish they were gone.
But you will truly regret wishing that when they are gone.
Just ask Kevin from “Home Alone”!
That's all.
