A Place Of Happiness
Home is more than walls and space,
It’s not just one familiar place.
It’s where my heart feels safe and known,
The one place where I am fully grown.
Home is the sound of a door at night,
A hallway dim, a gentle light.
It is the smell of food nearby,
And knowing someone asks me why.
Home is laughter, loud and real,
And quiet moments I can feel.
It is old jokes, told once more,
And shoes left piled beside the door.
Home is people, not just walls,
It catches me when I fall.
It is a voice that knows my name,
And loves me still when I’m the same.
Home is mornings, warm and bright,
And talks that stretch deep into night.
It is help with work, with stress, with fear,
And happiness is always there.
Home can change as time goes on,
Rooms feel different, days are gone.
But even when things move or roam,
I carry with me what is home.
It lives in memories, strong and true,
In lessons learned and things I knew.
However bad things might get,
Home is where I can rest.
Home reminds me who I am,
It’s where my life first began.
No matter where I choose to go,
Home is there, at the end of the road.
