Home

I know I am home when I hear my dogs barking. My home is a safe place because being around my family and being home is a calming place. Just walking though, the front door and smelling the fresh baking makes me feel comfortable. You know you are not home when it does not smell like your house. Walking through the hallway, I look back at photos of my family since day one, and I know I belong. Before dinner I lay on the soft cozy chair with my blanket, and I feel protected. At nighttime, I know am home when I see my bed, and I can get snuggled up. When I am in my bed my dog comes and sleeps with me. I love being home so I can be with my family and my dogs.
