What Makes A House A Home

To me, a home means somewhere that includes my family and my three favourite stuffies. They make me feel happy, calm, and worry less. A home does not need to be where you sleep. It can be anywhere. My home is my happy place. I think everyone deserves a home even if they cannot afford it. This includes the people that may not make the greatest decisions. When I go home, I think about how much I appreciate the fact that I have a roof over my head because some people don’t. I also think about all the memories I’ve made inside my home and outside on the street with my friends. One memory I have made is just being together with my family. For example, at Christmas me and my family are always together. At my home I feel loved, comforted, cared for, and welcomed. I also feel like my house is a place that I can let out my emotions after a long day of school. I feel that everyone should have a place like a home or even somewhere that they feel safe. Also, when I am home I feel surrounded by my family’s love and safety. My home makes me happy because my family and my three favourite stuffed animals are in it. That is what I personally think makes a house a home.
