What Home Is
Home is where all of our troubles go away.
Home is where we can peacefully sleep without fear.
It pains me that others sleep in the streets,
While the very rich own many,
The average own one or two,
However, the unfortunate own none.
Home is not only physical but also mental.
Home is the place where many tired souls want to go after a long day,
Where flaws and stress are immediately swept away.
Many houses have a certain scent,
One that makes the house its own special place.
You can see the furniture in the house;
Every piece of furniture has its place,
Like it is there for a purpose.
Inside my house,
Memories float around,
So much backstory,
So much culture.
You can imagine the joy when your mom cooks your favourite food.
The taste, the feeling you get when you’re eating it,
The expression on your face when you take a bite, pure bliss.
So now you see,
Home was never the same as a house;
A house carries no memories,
A home carries more memories than stones in the earth.
