House Isn't Home

A house is just a building or structure you live in. A home is a place where you can feel like you belong, or a happy place like my home is drawing. Drawing helps me relieve my stress when I need to and it just makes me feel better in general. A place in my house that feels like home is my dinner table. It's the place where my family and I spend the most time together because we aren't together a lot. Every night when we have dinner we get to tell one another about our days whether it was good or not even if it wasn't we still laugh together at the dinner table. One person who reminds me of home is my mom because even if we are mad and give her attitude she helps us cool down and be happy. Her hugs feel like a sunny day after a long stormy day. Out of all the smells in my house the one that makes me feel like I'm at home the most is the cherry blossom candle we own. It smells like a light scent that's not too overpowering that is like honey and cherry mixed. An object that makes me feel at home is my book specifically my Wings of Fire books. When I read them it feels like I'm right there with the characters. Reading these books has made me so much better at many things like reading, writing, and drawing. A feeling that makes me feel like I'm at home is how I feel when I'm with the people I love like my mom, my dad, my brother, my cat and my dog. In conclusion home isn't a place or area its somewhere you can be happy.
