My Home Base

By:Molly Ryan Home is where I belong. It’s a feeling just as munch as it’s a place. Canada is my home base, it’s where I tackle new adventures. Home is where I spread my wigs and learn to fly, it’s my safety cushion for when I fall. Home is the feeling of my family’s warm embrace. I could live in a mansion or on the side of the road , but as long as I’m with my family, I will feel safe, happy and at home. The pictures in my hallway filled with memories of my past, reminding me of home. The feeling of warmth and comfort in a quiet house always make me think of home. Laying in my room I always hear my closet creek and crack during the night, without it I feel that as if I am alone. Home is not just a structure I live in it’s all the details that glues it together and that makes the connection stronger. Home is much more than just a structure that protects me and shelters me, but also a way of life, a launch pad that sets me up for life's challenges ahead. Home is where I feel most safe and comfortable, It’s my family and my neighbors who are always there for me. Home is the felling of my family’s warmth and affection. It’s where I feel most comfortable being myself and speaking up. Home is my hideaway from the scary world outside. It’s the sweet call of laughter, the type of laughter that would brighten a smile. Home is much more than a roof over my head it’s the feeling of being loved.
