The Meaning of Home to Me
When I think of home, I don’t find it as a structure. I think of home as a spectacular place where I feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Home is where I can be myself and share my feelings without being afraid. Home is a place where I feel like I truly belong. Home feels like my happy place all the time, not just once in a while. When I walk through the door, my family and dogs greet me, making me feel welcome and excited to be there. I can smell the delicious food cooking and ready to be served. The sunlight shines and reflects onto the light brown table. After dinner, me and my family sit on the comfy grey couch and sometimes we watch TV or do trivia or just relax! Home has created many memories in my family and still more to come. Home isn’t just in the inside. Its also the outside. Some nights me and my family sit outside and have a campfire and roast marshmallows on our patio. And sometimes in warm weather I go biking around the neighborhood with my step dad. Home is like a place where I know I can be myself and not be judged. Home to me feels like a place where I can have space and work on projects with my family. Such as helping me with schoolwork, cooking, and arts and crafts! Home doesn’t just mean family. It also means to me a safe space. I love my home and forever well and thats the meaning of home to me.
