Home

Home is not just a house. Home is a place where you feel safe and happy. I was born in Russia, and I lived there for many years. I did gymnastics, and I had many relatives there. But in March 2024 my family moved to Canada. It was a big change for me, and at first I was scared. Now I know that home can move with you. In Canada my home is where my Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother are. Even though our relative are far away, I feel warm and calm here. Canada is very kind to me. Here I go to school, and I like it a lot. I do figure skating and it makes me feel strong and brave. I sing in the school choir, and I am learning how to knit at school too. One of my favorite things is school patrolling. It makes me feel helpful and important. Home is when you wake up and are not afraid of the day. Home is when you smile more than cry. Home is when you don’t want go back, because you already belong. For me home is Canada.
