What "Home" means to me

For some people, "home" is nothing more than a place. A house. But for others? It's a safe place, a fond memory from their childhoods. And I'm one of those people. Home is a place you can always come back to, filled with people and friends who care for and comfort you in difficult situations. I remember living with my grandparents, in the house my mom grew up in. For me, it was a small world, but it was warm and filled with love. It was filled with small moments of joy and happiness. Playing with my favourite toys and watching television with my grandparents. It was perfect. I wake up in the morning with the comforting feeling knowing that it's a brand new day, filled with more wonderful memories to make. This house was far from my parents at the time. But there were people to comfort me, make me feel noticed, loved. That's the power of a real home. It makes you feel safe, even when things get tough. A place to go to, and a place to remember. That's why it doesn't matter where you live. A cabin, house, apartment, van, anything! A home can be anywhere. That's what I think a "home" is.
