What Home Means to Me

Name: Elle School: Alberton Elementary Grade: 5 Home means Philippines. I love my culture and food! I grew up in the Philippines with my cousins and my family. In the Philippines I would always go outside after I finish eating. I would wait for the person selling taho. In the Philippines I had a bunch of my childhood memories. I remember when I was visiting my big and little cousins and having lechon(roasted pig) for birthdays! In the Philippines after church me and my grandpa would get some bitsu-bitsu. I was always happy since bitsu-bitsu is my favorite Filipino snack! Sometimes me and my family would go to jollibee. The culture in the PhilippinesIn the Philippines my family always has two lunches because aside from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Filipinos manage to squeeze in a little meal in between, too. Whether they eat every hour or every three hours, they savour every bite. Oh, and they do love going to buffets! If you want to know more you can research it! is very important to my life. Because in all corners of a Filipino house, you can find brazen images of crosses and other religious paraphernalia. It is a common Filipino custom to go church every Sunday, or sometimes even twice or three times a week. Home means Pilipinas. I was always happy since bitsu-bitsu is my favorite filipino snack!
