Home is sitting at the table, playing a game of cards. Home is playing with my sister in our big backyard. Home smells like my mom’s home-cooked meals. Home is curled up with my mom, laughing at Facebook reels. Home feels like my grandparents’ house in Newtown. Home is eating breakfast with my Nan in her nightgown. Home is riding on the water in my Pop’s fishing boat. Home is line dancing in the old fish plant, hitting every note. Home is riding on the quad down the sandy beach. Home is finding sea glass treasures where the ocean meets the beach. Home is sitting around the woodstove fire at my cabin. Home is where all of the family fun happens. Home is sharing all the good memories we’ve had. That is what home means to me!
