Home Isn't Just A Building

HI! My name is Aubree! I have two dogs named Stevie and Ollie. And about two weeks ago something bad happed …. My basement flooded and my mom was really stressed because she just painted her office and did her flooring (and that was expensive.) So, she was really stressed about that, and she is still worried about that because it's going to be about 1000 dollars!!!!! Also, my birthday is in only in one week!!!! And I’m turning 11!!!! My mom wants my birthday to be perfect so I can remember this forever. But I feel bad for her because she does everything to make my life better so I can have a good childhood. When you walk into some times its loud and chaotic sometimes quiet and peaceful. Whenever I come home from school or somewhere else, I’ll smell delicious baked goods, and my mom or dad will greet me with a warm hug and lots of kisses. Home isn’t just a building. Home is a place where you can feel happy, sad, safe and yourself! Home isn’t four walls and a roof it’s the people you’re with! That’s all I need in life just me and my family. I don’t need a mansion; I just need my family. That’s what home means to me!
