The Meaning of Home

A home is a place that is yours. You can have a favourite spot in your home. You eat meals there and you feel loved in your home. You have toys you are thankful for and you can feel emotions like happiness, sadness, love, safety, and calmness. A house is just a structure and it’s someone else's. It could be a treehouse, cabin or apartment. My home is special because I have my family and my personal belongings. We have traditions and I have fun with friends. I play with my siblings. I make cards for birthdays and pictures for fun. I have my own space and have my own room. I have memories of family gatherings, parties, and laughter. I have lots of parts of my home that I like but my favourite part is my room. I feel safe, cozy, comfortable and happy in my room. It’s quiet and I love my space there. Everyone deserves a house for protection but it’s more than that. Everyone deserves a home with love and family.
