What Home Means to People
Home has different meanings to everyone, to some people, home is a house, the only place that is warm, full of meaning, traditions, and food. To others, home is a person, a feeling where you find that special someone, like your mom, dad, sister, brother, dog, cat. Anyone, or anything can be a home. And to most people, that “Home” means a lot to them.
To people, home is a place full of culture, warm, delicious food, the aroma of spices filling the kitchen air, sitting down at a table with family or friends, eating your favorite foods, and getting stuffed with your favorite dishes, to people, that means a lot. To share your culture with a friend, or a family member, it makes people warm inside, full of feeling and gratitude for being accepted.
To people, home is a place of rules, how your family shaped you in your childhood, like 9:00 bed times, dinner at 6:30, or no screen time after 8:30. To many kids, they like that (even though a good majority of the kids in the world hate it) that’s the feeling of getting carved, like pottery for example. You never know how your gonna get shaped. You just know that your being made by your parents, carved, made beautiful, no matter what shape or size you turn out.
To people, home isn’t just a place, home is a person. Home can be a feeling. A person. Someone you love. Home can’t just be a place. Home can be anything. Home can be the art you make. Home can be you cooking for your family.
My family and I don't have a house yet, but we’re making the best of it.
Home is everything to me.
