Home Means to Me
Home is NOT just a shelter , a place or even a building. Home is where we all made chocolate chip cookies that tasted bitter sweet. In my home I feel safe, loved and cared for. Home smells like candles, fresh and new. still melting and changing. Loving your home is normal, it's your safe spot after all! Mine sounds like giggles and stories, filling every corner with affection. Home is where I played video games like minecraft with my older brother, where I heard gusts of wind blowing through my open window after school, where I shared bad days and grades with my mom, and where I told my dad to “please volunteer!!!!”the day before my field trip.
Thoughts and words like to stick around your mind, those thoughts follow you day and night. Tiny memories have the biggest meaning. Having a big home with no one there isn't the best is it? Home is thousands of years old! It is surrounded by pride, community and friends. Family, joy and happiness. Curiosity, care and time. Think of all the days you ate dinner in your home, you were cared for in your home, you thought of your home. Home is where I sat at that white chipping table eating dinner and telling tales. Your home owns your heart and If your heart could talk it would want to be safe here….where it is…home. Why do I love my home? Home led me to bed at night. It told me memories before I drifted off. Home gave me life day after day. Home is here for you forever, home is here when you're tired, scared, joyfull, and sad. Home is as full of memories as a 1000 year old's life flashing before their eyes. Home is where you belong….
