What Does Home Mean to Me

To me ‘home’ means a lot of things. It means my family, with whom I share my feelings, thoughts, I laugh and cry. The help, support and love we share as a one small beautiful family, keeping away all the tough things. It means, my mother who pampers me a lot, takes care of me and who makes delicious food for me. My dad who plays, makes fun and motivates and shares his experiences from his real life. My brother with who I play and fight. Home to me is a source of positive energy where I get energised by playing with my brother, by helping my mom and dad. It’s the smell of food, the taste of biryani, the dinners with family, where we gather to share our daily experiences. The clothes, the choice of colors, where I check with my mom daily in the morning what to wear, who is often busy making breakfast for us. The evenings, which I spend time solving puzzles, reading books and also studying for some time on a topic which my mother wants me to learn. The snowy pathway walks with my family, and the outdoor fun during summer. My prayers to connect with God. Also, my play dolls, my pass time for weekends and holidays. And the pigeons we feed, the herbs which I water daily.
