The meaning of home
Home is not just a house but a special place just for you. Home is something that's not just furniture but a cozy love that you carry everywhere. A house has a couch, a bed, pots and pans, but a home has love, joy, a mom and dad, a cozy warm bed and a roof over your head. My home is my safe place, my go to, it has a blanket to curl up in and another to hug. If you wander around the corner, delicious smells can waft right up to your nose. When dinner begins there is laughter and joy, all disputes set aside until bathtime. When the day finally ends you can curl up and snuggle. By the time the alarm rings you're up and going to eat breakfast and then off to school. When I get home I am off to play a game. My home always reminds me of the past because of all the wonderful smells except for the smells of dog poo, pee-eww! When my Nana comes over it’s a party with crispy muffins, chicken and freshly baked potatoes, the smell is enough to make you drool. Listen up, when I was little, I lived in a small house at a dead end road and when I moved I brought that special peace, that joy, that homey feeling with me. Think of home this way, your life is a story, you are the hero and your home is your trusty stead, your mighty sword. A house is not a home but your home is so very special, so be thankful. Habitat for Humanity is trying hard, so be thankful for the roof over your head.
