Home Is My Safe Place

My home is my safe place. It makes me feel happy. It's where joy and love surrounds me. My home might be messy or dirty but I still love it. My bed is warm and cozy and makes my heart feel warm. I love my home. My Mom bakes cookies, then home feels cozier. My home is full of loving memories within its walls. There is the care of my parents all around. Best of all, the care of God is surrounding us. We are also blessed with food and a family. My home isn't just a building, it's the place where I'm loved and cared for. Even though I haven't lived here for a long time, my home is still my home. Everytime I come home from school my home is waiting for me. Even at night it's like my home is giving me a warm hug. After any kind of hard day my home cheers me up. There is always a smell you can't smell - like cookies. It’s the smell of love and joy. My home is my safe place. The place where I live. No other home is like my home. My home isn't a house. It's my safe place.
