The Meaning of Home

I see my old tractor, dark green with yellow stripes. I feel the hot leather seat of my tractor in the summer heat. I smell grass clippings and I taste the fresh air. I hear the engine's purr; it makes me think of my old farm and the huge barn. I think of my grandparent's dog running around as I sit on the tire swing and my brother is on the jungle gym. I think of my mom and dad sitting on the patio watching TV with my grandparents as my cousins are in the pool playing Marco Polo. I picture the big cedar tree in the middle of the yard that provides a giant shadow for us all in the summer heat. The meaning of home is to feel safe with your family and to make memories.
