What Home is to Me

I have so many amazing things to say about home, So, I’ll explain them in a poem: To me, home is the place where I belong, It’s where people lift me up when something goes wrong. When I’m at home all my stress is released, It’s really the place where I only find peace. Home is the place for family and friends, It’s also the place where my discomfort ends. It’s always the place where I’m cozy, it’s true, It’s the place where my entire life, I’ve grew. Home is my real favourite place of all, It’s the place where I’m safe, and I don’t feel small. Home is where I imagine, laugh, and play, It’s where people listen to the words I have to say. In my home, I’ve always felt very respected, There, in my home, I’ll always be protected. In my home, I can look past the hard times, And that helps me feel much better than fine. People in my home comfort me when I’m down, And that makes me, never frown. Home is where all my memories are made, And those memories will never fade. In my home, I see all my favourite things, And that helps me forget about my bruises and stings. Home is where I hear lots of chattery voices, It’s where I’ll grow up, and make all my choices. When I come home, I smell the scent of my home, Then I eat pancakes, made by my mom. Home is the place where I’m comfy and loved, Home is actually, just all the above. You see, home isn’t just a structure, place, or building, It’s the place where people care for me, a feeling. And that’s what home is to me.
