The Meaning of Home

Now I'll tell you what home means to me, It’s a place where I can be free. It’s a place where I’ll always feel safe when family meets for the joy of feeling loved. Where we watch the sunset glow, And the morning sunshine comes up from below. When I finally lift up my head, To see the comforting sun shining overhead. I wake up to the sound of my mother, AND to the sound of my brother. When I remember they love me dearly, And how thankful I am to have them near me. I still think about home all the time. When I’m gone somewhere else I decide, That I will always come back to my home, To the place where I’ll always reside. It is not just a home but a memory, I will always feel all around me. It's a safe place, a warm place so comforting, That some people around us don’t have. But I've been thinking a lot about this lately, When I lay in my bed not quite sleepy. About people with a home, and people who don't ,and, if we would just write a story. A story not just about something, But about our home and just how we love it. How we can share, our joy everywhere to the world, to the people with nothing. So remind yourself about your story, and remember how blessed you are to have one. And remind yourself to give to those with no love, no home and no story. And that you, me and everybody will remember, know and feel, the Meaning Of Home.
