Home Is In Our Hearts

Home is not a structure, not a place, it’s those feelings that you have. Home can be memories from life and different ages. Home is when you are with friends. You know they have your back, and you are together with them against the world. Home is where you don’t have to lie because your family knows who you truly are. Home is where you are forever welcome and where you belong. It’s where you can always return. Home is the sound of giggling coming out from my room because my sister is tickling me. Home is our beautiful country, our language that sounds like heaven, our traditional clothing that keep us connected to each other. Home is the meaning of our flag and our history. Home is the old pictures on the walls, the creaky, squeaky doors and floors and the childhood cartoons and shows. Home is my dog that waited for me all day to come back and who is barking happily. Home is the smell of my mom’s delicious meals my sister’s Christmas cookies that we baked together. Home is our summer camping trips where me and my sister swim in the river. It’s a cold summer evening but our hearts make us warm. Home is in our hearts. It’s our peaceful and safe environment. Home has your heart and it will always will be with you.
